Thomas leads the firm's property practice. He acts for buyers and sellers in residential conveyancing, off-the-plan purchases and family transfers, and is well versed in the particular features of the ACT's leasehold system.
On the commercial side, he advises Canberra businesses on structures, contracts, retail and commercial leases, and the purchase and sale of businesses.
Thomas joined Burley Walsh in 2016 after four years at a mid-sized Canberra commercial firm. Clients appreciate his clear timelines and his habit of explaining exactly what happens at each step.
He is a member of a local business chamber and a committed, if slow, Canberra Marathon runner.
