Daniel began his career as a prosecutor before moving into defence work, and co-founded Burley Walsh in 2009. That experience on both sides of the bar table shapes the frank, realistic advice he gives clients.
His criminal practice covers bail applications, traffic and licence matters, pleas and defended hearings in the ACT Magistrates Court and Supreme Court. He works closely with barristers on trials and appeals.
Daniel also runs civil disputes for individuals and small businesses, including contract and debt matters in ACAT and the courts, where his courtroom experience is often decisive in reaching a sensible settlement.
He speaks to community groups and schools about rights in dealings with police, and coaches junior rugby on weekends.
